There’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday but for many local businesses ‘Small Business Saturday’ this weekend is make or break. “I speak with small business owners every day,” says former Wall Street broker, former ‘Shark Tank’ contestant, and CEO of small business lender ‘Total Merchant Resources’ in Piscataway, NJ Jason Reddish. “For them the Saturday after Thanksgiving is one of those days they need to win.” The latest numbers show 44-percent of the economy is driven by small business activity. Not to mention that 99.9% of U-S businesses are small businesses and they employ almost half (47.5%) of the private workforce. So how how important is it that you shop locally? And more importantly how does small local business get the most out of this important day?
