John Grotzinger is the Fletcher Jones Professor of Geology in the Division of Geological and Planetary Sciences at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, CA. His research is involved with in the evolution of Earth's surface environments and biosphere, including the chemical development of the early oceans and atmosphere.
